Costa Rica or Bust

Pierce Chapel,

Thank you all for your support through these many months of preparation. It's been a good journey, and we're almost there! Just one more meeting, a bus ride, a flight, and another bus ride, and we'll be at the Rural Methodist Center in Costa Rica!

We've been in anticipation for so long that at times it hasn't felt like we would really be going, but here we are just about one week away. We are responding with all of our hearts to His call to serve and hoping to experience Him in a different way than we ever have. We are willing and hungry as ambassadors of Christ and Pierce Chapel to be used by God. We're ready to experience His love and power working in us through the Holy Spirit.

Please be in continuous prayer for us as we make last-minute preparations, as we travel, and as we begin to work in the communities we'll be serving. This trip is about loving, serving, and growing close to our mighty, compassionate God, and we covet your prayers in support of us. Here's a short, incomplete list of things we need prayer for: Safety, group cohesion, attentiveness to the Holy Spirit, confidence and boldness, spiritual readiness, a servants attitude, for our families while we're gone, and relief from and endurance through fatigue.

We'll continuously be updating this blog with prayer requests, pictures, and status reports, so check back often! You can also share your throughts and prayers with us by commenting on any of our posts.

God Bless!
